Unlike the communities of Efoetsy & Tsifota that, with our help, now rely on a stable supply of fresh potable water, other people in Madagascar continue to struggle to get access to clean drinking water.

Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Elemental Water Foundation. The Elemental Water Foundation will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Elemental Water Foundation.

No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.

The Elemental Water Foundation will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.

The Elemental Water Foundation will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the Elemental Water Foundation.

Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Elemental Water Foundation.

The Elemental Water Foundation will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Elemental Water Foundation.

The Elemental Water Foundation will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Elemental Water Foundation will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.

The Elemental Water Foundation will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Elemental Water Foundation.

Stichting Elemental Water Foundation - What we do

We enable safe and affordable fresh water on a global scale through realizing projects that provide water using desalination powered by renewable energy for people that face water scarcity in developing countries.

Already 4 billion people are facing water scarcity due to population growth, an increasing water footprint and climate change effects. It’s the least fortunate that are at the forefront of the increase of water scarcity.

Today, 1 in 9 people lack access to safe water. Women are disproportionately affected, as they are often responsible for collecting water. It’s also a matter of health: every 90 seconds a child dies from a water-related disease. What if we can improve health and enable empowerment & education? It’s time to break the cycle of poverty for communities.

Who we are

We are a non-profit Foundation that acknowledges water scarcity as the biggest challenge in the 21st century. We believe that it’s possible to move from water scarcity to abundance using the right partnerships and technology. It’s long-term, sustainable solutions that we believe in. Our Foundation and its Board Members work voluntarily without any compensation for their time and efforts.

For us, it’s all about making an impact by realizing water projects using desalination powered by renewable energy. To help the people who need it most get safe access to affordable drinking water to break the cycle of poverty.
