Reinoud is an engineer who is dedicated to providing durable and long-lasting sustainable solutions for water scarcity. In the past years, he has been selected as Sustainable Young leader several times for his efforts as co-founder and technical director of Elemental Water Makers for solar desalination. Reinoud has implemented numerous desalination projects in remote regions and trained local people for their operation and with success.  He has an academic degree in Water Treatment and Mechanical Engineering and is on a mission to solve freshwater scarcity, using only the sea, sun, earth & wind. In his free time, he plays with the elements with his kite-surf equipment.
